Aeroventure is pleased to announce the presentation of its "Taildragger Transition Course and Introduction to Aerobatics" in our newly recovered and beautiful Citabria 7KCAB.
The course will consist of three phases of 9 hours each; 6 hours of seminars and 3 hours in flight for a total of 27 hours. Each phase however will be self contained, paid for and scheduled separately so if you are already checked out in the Citabria you may want to start with Phase II.
  
The first phase is Taildragger Transition Training for "Nosedragger" Pilots and will consist of three sessions:
  • Session 1- Taming the Taildragger- a (slightly) different animal!
  • Session 2- Getting to know (and love) the Citabria 7KCAB, its’ systems and operation
  • Session 3- Getting down to earth- full stall vs. "wheel" landings
The second phase is "Recovery from unusual attitudes and an introduction to basic Aerobatics". It also will consist of three sessions:
  • Session 1- What am I doing upside down ?- wake turbulence and wing tip vortices
  • Session 2- The accidental spin- how to recover
  • Session 3- Introduction to Aerobatics- the basic maneuvers
The third phase is Aerobatics and will be divided into three sessions as well:
  • Session 1- Legal Requirements and Equipment; Load Factors and Aeromedical Considerations.
  • Session 2- The Basic Maneuvers: Snap Roll, Aileron Roll, Loop and Spin.
  • Session 3- Putting it all together- The Aerobatic Sequence

The two hour seminars will be presented Saturday mornings at Aeroventure from 9AM to 11AM and the flight training will be scheduled by appointment. The first Phase is scheduled to begin Saturday May 17, 2003 and continue the following two Saturdays. The cost for each Phase will be $489.00. To qualify you must hold at least a Private License, have a minimum of 125 hours, and have the "Right Stuff!
