| Sun River is a resort area by the Deschutes River
which also happens to have an airport. There are enough
activities available - biking, fishing, golfing, hiking,
horseback riding, skiing, swimming and tennis - to appeal
to everyone. An attractive lodge with a pleasant dining
room is a short walk from the aircraft parking. There are
a variety of accommodations available if you want to
linger longer. Sun River is about a 3 hour
flight from Petaluma in a Warrior or Cessna 172. It is a
good place for a family outing. The surrounding scenery
is grand with Mt. Shasta as a backdrop.
