Who is the Father? Not as pictured in above painting. Rather, a mystery spirit, creator, and the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ. | John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. | The scripture declares that we are to worship God in spirit and in truth, not by bowing to statues or other material elements. By worshipping objects we make them our gods. The true God is a spirit and we can only worship him in truth by way of the spirit he gives us. | I Jn 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. | 1 Tim 1:17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. | John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. | Ps 147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. | I Jn 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. | Heb 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. | Jer 51:15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding. | Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? | As the above verses indicate Gods nature is not identical to mans nature. Gods true nature is: invisible; immortal; all knowing; all seeing, etc., whereas man is: visible; mortal; partially knowing and seeing, etc. These few verses represent only a few of the personal qualities of God the Father and creator of all things. | For the record, the Hebrew name for God is YaHVeH (in English), his true name (he is not nameless). The English words 'God' and 'Lord' are of translation design.
